I really love mp5s, but here an sp5 costs 3k €, an ex FA mp5 around 3.5k and a turkish mke clone is around 1.5k to 2k. Even store owners have warned me about the turkish clones as they have received a lot of RMA request since they seem to have spotty QC. Should I splurge for an sp5 or just get a plinker like the PMX? My local gun shop has a deal on the pmx for 1100€ with 4 mags but I have heard that since it's a straight blowback the recoil impulse is umpleasant.

I have a kp9 too, which is direct blowback, and yeah I can't go back to it after shooting my ap5. The mp5 is also just a better suppressor host if you ever want to get a suppressor. If you REALLY like it, going with the sp5 is the safest choice, even if someone with a flux raider can probably mag dump your ass by the time you finish a reload lol.

I'm a tool so I literally bought MKE 9mm NATO spec, I will shoot other 9mm through it but its mostly had MKE ammo. Don't clean the gun much but I do clean it.It's just a simple and reliable platform, I built a g3 from a parts kit too and even that thing works, not perfectly but it does work. Extractor springs are the worst thing, I tend to fuck them up installing them and have to do 2-3 attempts. Never have needed to replace them on the MKE yet, it comes with a strong g3 style spring.

Got a UMP parts kit. Gonna send it and a USC to Tommy Tactical for the conversion. Quick question, if I send the original 3-position lower that came with the parts kit, is he gonna mutilate it to keep it legal? Would I be better off buying another 2-position lower to send to him for the conversion? I'd rather preserve as much of the original as possible.
