>>8058049Yes the production company clearly hit their DEI quota with some of the choices they made, and they still didn't go nearly as far with that as some other shows have gone in recent times, and yes they also... somewhat tinkered, shall we say... with the storyline from the original source material to make it work as a TV series; but at the end of the day reworks of original source material are not that uncommon on TV productions, even going back all the way to the start of TV, and regardless of the genre, mostly because budgets are generally a thing TV production companies have to carefully work within otherwise they risk either not getting any more work and/or going out of business full stop.In the case of Foundation, the whole production was actually still pretty good, despite the liberties taken with the source material to get the show on-screen, and ultimately if it encourages even a small portion of the viewership of the TV series to want to pick up and read all the many books that cover the Foundation universe then the show clearly succeeded on some level.
